Pupils going daff at show

SCHOOLS from across Edinburgh were set to show their daffodil displays this weekend at the Royal Caledonian Horticultural Society's Spring Flower Show.

To encourage young people to get involved with gardening, Edinburgh in Bloom has joined forces with the society to run a daffodil competition for local schools.

Fifteen green-fingered schools have taken part in the annual competition and, at the show in the Royal Botanic Garden, the best display of daffodils will be selected by the Lady Provost, with the winners announced on the day.
