PUPILS were given iPhones to pass instant judgment on their teachers, a teaching union was told yesterday.

The Association of Teachers and Lecturers heard a Kent secondary school asked about 20 students to send their comments to the head as part of a "quality assurance week". Teachers raised concerns over not having the right to reply.
