Pupils and staff step up to help Haiti with dance event

STAFF and pupils at Holy Family Primary School in Winchburgh have raised more than £200 for Haiti.

The money was raised through a fun evening of dance and games on Monday.

Janice Grant, pupil support worker at the school, organised and led the hip swing event by teaching a selection of Zumba dances and moves during the evening. She was joined by Lynn Tait, who is a Zumba instructor.

Headteacher Lisamaria Marzella said: "Both Lynn and Janice gave up their time to support the fundraising, and their hard work and enthusiasm was very much appreciated.

"The hip swing event was a fantastic success and a great way for our school community to join together to raise money for a very good cause."

She added: "During Lent, our pupils and staff have taken part in many fundraising activities for Haiti and I would like to thank everyone for their generosity."
