Pupil wins poster prize

A PUPIL from a Penicuik primary school has won the top prize in a crime awareness poster campaign.

Kami Oliver, a P7 pupil at Cuiken Primary, won the competition, organised by Lothian and Borders Police.

Youngsters from P5-7 across Midlothian’s schools were invited to design posters aimed at delivering theft prevention messages to their local communities.

Kami was presented with an iPod Shuffle from Midlothian commander Superintendent Liz McAinsh at an awards ceremony in Dalkeith Library.
