Primary passes inspectors' test

BALBARDIE Primary School in Bathgate has been praised by education chiefs.

HM Inspectorate of Education visited the school in January.

Inspectors highlighted a number of key strengths at the school including the leadership of the headteacher, a strong culture of inclusion and effective arrangements for children to develop their literacy skills.

Andrew Miller, West Lothian's executive councillor for education, said: "We are delighted with this report."
