Oh help! Oh no! It's the real Gruffalo

FICTIONAL children's character The Gruffalo visited pupils in Edinburgh at the Scottish Book Trust to launch a new children's author campaign.

The Gruffalo read a copy of his story to children in the gardens of the Scottish Book, Trust headquarters.

Meet our Authors is a new campaign by the Trust to allow children and adults across the world to get up close and personal with some of the world's leading children's authors.

Around 80,000 children in 900 schools across the UK and overseas have signed up to the programme to date.
