LECTURERS at Scotland’s universities are being balloted for strike action over changes being made to their pensions.

Members of the University and College Union are expected to join teachers and others in a day of action on 30 November. Academics at the “ancient” institutions, including Aberdeen, Edinburgh and Glasgow, are already taking part in a work-to-rule.
