Community links: Links with New Struan House (which caters for autisitic children).Music staff have been involved with giving concerts to local organisations including the Rotary Club and some local welfare homes. The Alloa Burns Club runs a Burns' song Competition in the school. Links have been built up with Tesco (who will be near the new school, which opens in October). We have also good links with Unicef, Strathcarron and CHAS hospices.

Vocational education:Excellent links with Forth Valley College, with courses for S3/4 pupils at the college as part of their curriculum. S5 pupils also access the college from school on an individual basis.

What qualities do you try to instil in pupils to take beyond their school years?Our main aim is to make all of our pupils fit into society when they leave school. This means they should have the skills required to obtain employment and have people skills to enable them to treat others with respct and dignity.
