Chernobyl's children visit

CHILDREN who have grown up in the Chernobyl disaster zone arrived in the Capital yesterday for a month of activities and health treatments.

A total of 28 children are taking part in this year's trip, which will see them visit castles, go ice skating and take part in the Edinburgh taxi parade, as well as seeing dentists and opticians.

The children stay with host families during their stay.

Four hosts and an interpreter will take part in a charity abseil from the Forth Bridge this Sunday in aid of Friends of Chernobyl's Children.
