Capital pupils take stock in cash challenge

A COLLEGE in the Capital has taken second place in this year's Stock Market Challenge.

George Watson's College lost out to Callander's McLaren High School in the Skills Development Scotland competition, which saw S3 pupils trading in shares and foreign currency by analysing information from the stock market.

Chris Cash, of George Watson's College, which ended with a portfolio of 80,000, said: "Although it was quite stressful, it was great fun."
