Boost your skills with South Lanarkshire College courses
The East Kilbride-based college is encouraging people affected financially by Covid-19, school leavers and those looking to improve their skills and boost their careers to look past the pandemic and apply for a course starting in 2021.
South Lanarkshire College has recently launched in the region of 150 full- and part-time courses designed to give students the skills valued by employers and the knowledge to move on to further study.
Courses are available throughout the year, with short Skills Boost courses designed to get people back into employment running in the spring right up to degree-level courses offered in partnership with the University of West of Scotland which start this autumn. There is even free training for eligible employers via the Flexible Workforce Development Fund.
South Lanarkshire College Principal Aileen McKechnie said: “The past year has been difficult for everyone but as a college we have continued to adapt to ensure we support all our students and applicants to achieve their full potential, despite the barriers brought about by the pandemic.
“Our main aim as a college is to support our students and our local community by continuing to offer the best possible learning and teaching so our students achieve all their ambitions – their dream job or moving onto further study.
