Bending over backwards to help student

STUDENT Olivia Bennett has recreated the historic Scotsman Steps for a contortionist performance as part of her college coursework.

Miss Bennett, 22, who lives in Marchmont, created a small set based on the stairwell – which has entrances on North Bridge and Market Street – at Edinburgh College of Art.

Contortionist Sarah Phizacklea, 29, who lives near The Meadows, will perform in the set as part of Miss Bennett's final degree show at Edinburgh College of Art.
