Angry youngsters make their voices heard

YOUNG "Bravehearts" at Bruntsfield Primary staged a protest to show education bosses that they're not going to take budget cuts at their school without a fight.

Their school – along with every other in the city – is facing a 2.5 per cent cut to its budget this year, which would mean visiting specialist teachers and learning support staff being axed, and less resources.

Mother Rhona MacDougall, whose daughter Murron protested, said: "It's important to invest in children."
