Actress plays school role

RIVER City actress Eileen McCallum is set to officially open a new playground in a city primary school on Saturday.

The playground at Flora Stevenson Primary has undergone a transformation following a fundraising drive by parents.

Over the last two and a half years they have paid for a multi sports pitch and a large garden in the playground.

The River City actress will attend a special garden party at the school and carry out the official opening at 1pm.
