800 set for May Day rally

AROUND 800 people were expected to take part in a May Day march and rally in the Capital today.

The Edinburgh May Day Parade will see around 700 to 800 people, together with the Stockbridge Pipe Band, set off from East Market Street at 11.30am.

The annual event will be finished by 2pm.
