600 hop on walking bus

PUPILS at Towerbank Primary School in Portobello created a giant walking bus along the promenade to promote school travel and healthy living.

More than 600 pupils joined the walking bus, with some dressing in the traffic light colours of red, amber and green and others in black and white to resemble a zebra crossing.

The pupils walked in pairs from the school at Figgate Bank, along Portobello Promenade to the bottom of Brunstane Road, and back again, yesterday morning.
