Scots craft beer club Beer52 toasts £45k funding
CRAFT beer club Beer52 has secured a £45,000 cash injection following a Dragons’ Dens-style funding competition.
The Edinburgh-based business, founded by James Brown, walked off with the money as part of a £1 million-plus giveaway that saw scores of start-ups compete for the finals of the Scottish Edge awards, presented by Sir Tom Hunter.
More than 10,000 drinkers have already signed up to receive eight different brews each month from Beer52, each of them hand-selected by experts at the Entrepreneurial Spark-backed start-up. The latest funding will go towards marketing and staffing.
