New faces on board at rural college

Scotland’s Rural College (SRUC) has announced the appointment of four new board members, two of whom will join both the SRUC board as well as the SAC Commercial Ltd board.

Professor Seamus McDaid, principal and vice chancellor of the University of the West of Scotland, and Kate Richards, a vet and deputy director of strategic business planning in the UK Ministry of Justice, join the SRUC board while Dr Colette Backwell, director of the Scottish Food & Drink Federation, and Fred Dinning, former energy and environment director of the Scottish Power Group, will also join the SAC board.
