Heifers (1,044) averaged 227.15p (+9.97p) and sold to 322.6p and £1,800. Cast cows (115) averaged 146.54p and sold to 205.5p and to £1,615. Forward cattle (12) averaged 182.31p and sold to 203.2p and to £1,525.

STIRLING - Caledonian Marts sold 231 live cattle comprising 132 bullocks and heifers, ten young bulls, 17 OTM clean and 70 cast cows and bulls. Bullocks (77) averaged 200p and sold to 230.5p or to £1,651. Heifers (55) averaged 206.5p and sold to 259.5p or £1,687. Butchers cattle (29) averaged 225p, selling to 228.5p. Young bulls (10) sold to 217.5p or to £1,732. OTM clean cattle (17) sold to 195.5p or to £1,449. Cast cows and bulls (70) - cows sold to £1,385, bulls to £1,408.

THAINSTONE - Aberdeen & Northern Marts sold 1,729 prime sheep. Old season lambs (1,683) averaged 200.8p (+5.4p) and sold to 256.1p and £110. Old season SQQ up to 45.5kg (1,098) averaged 208.5p (+4.5p).

ST BOSWELLS - John Swan Ltd sold 481 feeding and grazing cattle. Bullocks (285) sold to £1,335 and 263.6p and averaged overall 229.8p (+52p on the year). Heifers (196) sold to £1,440 and 263.3p and averaged overall 216.3p (+ 47.3 on year).
