Loch Ness Water named supplier at whisky events

A business that extracts and ­bottles water straight from Loch Ness has been named as the ­official water supplier at one of the most iconic events in the whisky industry calendar.

Loch Ness Water, whose product is filtered and cleaned at Avoch, near Inverness, will ­provide the water for guests attending the Icons of Whisky Scotland event this Friday at the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh.

The company, which was launched in October, is also sponsoring the Whisky Retailer (Multiple Outlets) Award, and John Oag, managing director of Loch Ness Water, will present the prize to the winner of the category.

The Icons of Whisky is the annual industry awards organised by Whisky Magazine.

Oag said: “This is a great honour and an exciting opportunity for Loch Ness Water. We are delighted to be the sole supplier of water at the event.

“It is a great opportunity for us to showcase our product to influential individuals in the whisky world.”
