Food certification firm moves to new offices

A COMPANY that claims to be “the UK’s fastest growing provider of risk services for the food and drink supply chain” has taken up new office space in Edinburgh owing to “significant growth”.

Acoura, which has a client list that includes pubs giant JD Wetherspoon, Quality Meat Scotland and Marine Harvest, has signed a seven-year lease with landlord Prudential for almost 5,000 square feet of accommodation at the city’s South Gyle business park.

The deal has been agreed at an undisclosed rental price, but is said to have capitalised on “competitive lease terms in the area”.

Acoura certifies farms, food processors and food-related companies on behalf of a range of businesses and public sector bodies.

Property firm JLL acted on behalf of the company while Prudential Assurance was represented by Savills and CBRE.

Craig Watson, director for JLL in Scotland, said: “The dynamic for letting activity in west Edinburgh remains strong.”
