BrewDog opens new bar in Bologna

BREWDOG is opening its latest overseas bar in a former dance school in Bologna.

The Scots beer-maker said the new venue would adopt the “stripped back and relaxed atmosphere” associated with its existing watering holes. It will also serve up “gourmet” sandwiches, cheese and meat platters, and vegetarian and vegan food options.

BrewDog said it planned to use the bar as a “hotbed for the burgeoning craft beer revolution in Italy”.

The new bar is BrewDog’s 11th launch this year. Earlier this month, it opened BrewDog Liverpool, hot on the heels of “beer cathedrals” in Sao Paulo, Florence, Tokyo, Sheffield, Gothenburg, Clapham Junction, London, Cardiff, Dundee and Ellon.

There are plans to expand into Barcelona and Helsinki ­before Christmas.
