Zonal Retail Data rings up six years of sales growth

Till and point of sale stalwart Zonal Retail Data Systems has racked up its sixth year of successive sales growth following significant investment in new products.

The Edinburgh-based company, founded in the late 1970s and now employing more than 400 people, posted record sales of £59.6 million and record underlying earnings of £3.4m for the year to 30 June.

The firm highlighted its continued investment in research and development, with some £4m spent in the last year and high levels earmarked for the current one.

Chief executive Stuart McLean, said: “It’s been an amazing journey over the last 36 years; we have transitioned into true innovators, adopting new technology at pace for the benefit of our customers.”
