Wood Group wins $150m extension to Total contract

Oil services giant Wood Group has secured a “significant” two-year extension, worth about $150 million (£98.3m) to its North Sea contract with French firm Total.

Under the deal, Wood Group’s PSN division will continue to provide commissioning, construction, engineering and procurement services to Total’s Alwyn, Dunbar, Elgin and Franklin offshore platforms, plus the St Fergus onshore gas plant in Aberdeenshire.

PSN won the initial contract ten years ago and UK managing director David Stewart said the extension will support 200 onshore and 100 offshore jobs in the UK.

He added: “It’s an important contract in our UK business and we are proud to continue to work with Total to deliver a range of technically challenging projects.”
