Wisniewski has the Desire for top post

Desire Petroleum, the oil company focused on the North Falkland basin, has hired Eddie Wisniewski, currently a non-executive director, as finance director.

Wisniewski, 50, qualified as a chartered accountant with Touche Ross, leaving in 1988 to join Clyde Petroleum. From 1995 to 2000 he was the finance manager of Clyde Petroleum's subsidiary in the Netherlands. He joined Alstec in 2000, and was appointed finance director in 2006, leaving at the end of 2009. He is succeeded as chairman of Desire's audit committee by Stephen Phipps.
