Whisky bottler gets SCDI Highland role

Michael Urquhart, joint managing director of Elgin-based whisky bottler Gordon & MacPhail, has been named chairman of the Highlands and Islands branch of the Scottish Council for Development and Industry.

He succeeds Joe Moore, director of corporate services and finance at Scottish Natural Heritage, who held the post for nearly eight years.
