Watermans seals deal to fund growth

PERSONAL injury claims specialist Watermans Solicitors has unveiled expansion plans after signing a six-figure lending deal with Clydesdale Bank.

The Leith-based law firm will open its first shop front and double its office space as part of the growth scheme.

Neil Waterman, senior partner, said: “This is a very exciting time for Watermans Solicitors. By doubling our office space we will be able to recruit more staff, providing employment opportunities in our sector, and continue the extraordinary growth the business has achieved over the past few years.

“We now have the support we require to enable us to fulfil our expansion plans.”

Watermans, which was founded in 1999, already has 25 staff and grew its turnover by 50 per cent in 2012 to £2.2 million.

The firm also has branches in Aberdeen and Glasgow and has developed its own mobile phone “app”.
