Vitruvian builds holding in College

Private equity group Vitruvian Partners has taken a major stake in College Group, the business PR and communications firm that owns Edinburgh-based Great Circle.

The deal values College Group, whose interests also encompass City PR firm College Hill, at some £45 million. Following the investment, Alex Sandberg will step down as group chairman but remain with College.
