Virgin Atlantic names domestic service Little Red

VIRGIN Atlantic’s first domestic flights service connecting Scotland and Manchester to London Heathrow will be known as Little Red.

Sir Richard Branson’s airline will start four-times-a-day Manchester flights on 31 March and from 5 April a six-daily Edinburgh service will start, followed by thrice-daily Aberdeen flights from 9 April.

Virgin acquired take-off and landing slots at Heathrow following the takeover of carrier bmi by British Airways’ parent company IAG.

Passengers on these flights will be able to tuck into specially-made “plane” crisps from Tyrrells and, on the Scottish services, Irn-Bru.
