US exoskeleton firm targets European growth
Ekso Bionics, a US-based maker of robotic exoskeletons for users such as people who have suffered spinal cord injury, has set its sights on European expansion.
The firm, founded in 2005, has appointed industry veteran Ruediger Hausherr as senior medical device executive for Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
“We are an innovative company and well-positioned for significant growth in Europe,” said Hausherr, who has more than 20 years’ experience of bringing novel therapies to market in executive leadership positions in the field of orthopaedics.
Thomas Looby, president and chief commercial officer at Ekso Bionics, said Hausherr “brings extensive knowledge of the rehabilitation segment as well as of the European healthcare market”.
