Ultimate Finance opens first Scottish office

Invoice financing specialist Ultimate Finance Group has set its sights on Scotland’s small business community after opening its first office north of the Border.

The firm’s operation in Glasgow is headed by Richard Waldman, who worked for Royal Bank of Scotland’s invoice finance arm before spending ten years as Aldermore’s regional managing director in the city.

Waldman said: “Although we may be a new name in Scotland, we have established a great reputation south of the Border for helping SMEs with their funding requirements and we plan to do the same here.

“We aim to build a strong presence in Scotland and, by recruiting the best people, we will be able to provide our growing client base with a range of suitable funding solutions to help them strengthen and grow their own businesses, which can only be good for the Scottish economy.”

Bristol-based Ultimate Finance, owned by Aim-quoted Inspired Capital, was established in 2002 and now has eight offices across the UK. Inspired said last month that the group’s client base had grown by more than 36 per cent during the past year.
