Two new models for French car giant Peugeot Citroën

FRENCH car manufacturer Peugeot Citroën is working on two new models – the global small and mid-sized M3-M4 – for emerging countries as it seeks to break out of its dependence on mature markets.

Europe's second-largest carmaker is aiming for an 8 per cent share of the Chinese market. It had 3.5 per cent in 2009.

Japanese partner Mitsubishi is leading the development of the small car that will be sold in several continents and could be produced in Japan, Thailand, India, Latin America or China. The launch date is unknown.
