Travelodge to open more Scottish hotels

BUDGET travel chain Travelodge will today unveil plans to open more hotels in Edinburgh and Aberdeen as part of a £115 million investment in 26 premises.

More than 500 full and part-time jobs will be created under the programme, which will add more than 2,000 rooms to the company's portfolio.

The latest Edinburgh hotel – which will be the chain's 12th in the Scottish capital and will have 115 rooms – is currently being fitted out on the site of a former girl's school near Cameron Toll at a cost of 5.5m.

In Aberdeen, the new hotel – the chain's fourth in the city – will be on Justice Mill Lane.
