Sally Stanley, chair of the Marketing Society Star Awards, said: “The standard of entries this year has been stronger than ever and they are at an all-time high. We feel our ‘proof prevails’ theme played a huge part in generating more submissions.

“We challenged marketers to prove their campaigns delivered significant positive impact and encouragingly there was a spike in first-time entrants.”

There are 33 awards in total with five categories which include development, strategic, communication, sector and the champion’s category, as well as individual awards to distinguish the best talent in the industry.

E4 television presenter, Rick Edwards will be hosting the awards, which are one of the most prestigious events in the industry, on 18 June at The Glasgow Science Centre.
