Three firms share in £5m from Scottish Loan Fund

THREE companies have shared out close to £5 million from the Scottish Loan Fund (SLF), it was announced yesterday.

SLF, managed by private equity group Maven Capital Partners, has backed Hamilton-based Compound Semiconductor Technologies Global with a £1.7m loan. Aberdeen-based Deep Casing Tools got £2.1m and a further £1m funding package was awarded to Glasgow software company VisionWare.

Julie Glenny, investment director at Maven, said: “These three investments help to demonstrate just how flexible Scottish Loan Fund finance can be in helping ambitious SMEs.

“While these companies
operate in different sectors, we have worked closely with each of the management teams to
tailor a solution that fits with their business needs and strategic objectives.”
