THE Malcolm Group has reported steady progress thanks to an increase in activity in its logistics division.

Pre-tax profits in the year to 31 January rose by 32 per cent to £6.5 million partly due to gains on asset sales. Turnover edged up 1 per cent to £192.4m.

Commenting on the results, group chief executive Andrew Malcolm said the company was well placed to pursue future business opportunities.
