Thames Water Commercial Services (TWCS) has switched offices from Edinburgh to West Lothian as it seeks to expand its operations north of the Border.

The water supplier said the move to Mill Road Enterprise Park in Linlithgow comes after it beat its target of doubling the number of commercial sites it manages north of the Border, where it has been operating for almost three years.

Scottish sales manager Alan Munro said: “To now have in excess of 1,300 sites on our books – surpassing what we thought was a hugely ambitious target to double up from our initial portfolio of 600 sites – in our first year with our new team speaks volumes of quality of the TWCS service offering.

“It is this potential that encouraged us to move out of Edinburgh and into a new base in Linlithgow which not only fulfils our need to manage for greater growth, but allows us to better support businesses across Scotland because of its excellent central belt location.”

The non-domestic water market in Scotland was deregulated in 2008 and competition is set to be introduced to the rest of the UK next year.
