Tesco's Benny Higgins joins board of Scottish Financial Enterprise

TESCO Bank chief executive Benny Higgins has joined the board of trade body Scottish Financial Enterprise (SFE).

Higgins has been in charge of Tesco Bank and its predecessor, Tesco Personal Finance, since 2008, having previously held senior positions with HBOS, Royal Bank of Scotland and Standard Life.

SFE chairman Mark Tennant said: "I am extremely pleased to welcome Benny on to the board of SFE.

"As chief executive of such a vigorous and exciting venture as Tesco Bank, he will bring a valuable perspective to the board's deliberations."
