Tennent and Maclay sing beer deal

Brewer Tennent Caledonian will become the main beer supplier to Scottish pub operator Maclay Group in exchange for providing an undisclosed amount of investment to support the bar company’s expansion drive.

Steve Mallon, Maclay Group’s managing director, said: “Maclay Group has the skills and infrastructure to grow its business and in Tennent Caledonian we believe we have found the right partner to support and accelerate that ambition”.

The firm, which operates 36 bars including the Three Judges in Glasgow and The Rule in St Andrews, last year announced plans to double in size over the next five years.
