Takeover gives Asco a lift

Asco Group, the Aberdeen-based energy logistics specialist, has taken on 50 staff after acquiring fellow Granite City business North Sea Lifting (NSL).

As well as its headquarters in Aberdeen, NSL has two bases in the United States, in Louisiana and Texas.

The value of the acquisition was not disclosed but Asco stressed that all of NSL’s staff would remain with the business. NSL was founded in 1989 by owners Tom Byrne and Richard Dingwall.
