Surge in businesses seeking advice

THE number of established firms approaching Business Gateway for help soared by 82.5 per cent year on year during the three months to 30 June.

More than 1,800 firms asked the public body for help during the period, including advice on exporting, marketing and recruitment. But the number of firms set up with help from Business Gateway fell by 5.4 per cent year on year to 2,854.
