Sarah Brown, who started her broadcasting career at Radio Clyde, spent six years in New York before returning to the UK to become a BBC script editor. In her current role as executive producer, she has been responsible for projects including The Interceptor, an eight-part crime drama due to air on BBC One in the autumn.

Brown, a graduate of the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama – now called the Royal Conservatoire – said: “I grew up watching STV and enjoying its drama programmes, so I am delighted to be joining the company and look forward to being a part of its ambitious plans for the future.”
