Stagecoach extends CCTV contract for buses

Transport group Stagecoach has handed a new contract, worth more than £5 million, to its long-term security systems supplier.

The three-year deal will see surveillance technology firm Synectics install and maintain CCTV systems across the Perth-based group’s buses.

Synectics chief executive John Shepherd said the contract, which extends a ten-year relationship between the two firms, addresses new requirements from Transport for London for higher-quality images and greater recording times.

He added: “We look forward to working with Stagecoach to further improve passenger safety, reduce crime and combat fraudulent insurance claims over the next three years and beyond.”
