Speedy Hire wins £30m National Grid contract

Equipment supplier Speedy Hire has won a contract to manage and supply plant to National Grid that could be worth up to £30 million.

The deal will initially run for three years but could be extended for a further two years.

Speedy Hire, which is also growing its presence in the Middle East, will help National Grid to cover its electricity and gas networks.

David Harris, commercial director UK at Speedy Hire, said “We are delighted to have been awarded this contract to manage the provision of hired plant and equipment for National Grid.

“This was secured after a rigorous tender process assessing not only value for money, but also the quality and breadth of Speedy’s managed services.”
