Slow take-up for Superglass insulate

SUPERGLASS, the Stirling-based insulation maker, yesterday warned that there had been a slow take-up at the start of the extension to the UK government's scheme to help people insulate their homes.

Under the "Cert" scheme, utility companies are required to help their customers improve their homes' energy efficiency.

Superglass told its AGM that the rate at which the scheme is taken up by its customers will determine the financial outcome for the firm this year.

Julian Tolley, at HB Markets, said the trading update amounted to a profit warning.
