Skycig names Casely as new finance chief

Electronic cigarette maker Skycig has appointed Bruce Casely, the former finance chief of US online advertising firm Digital Globe Services (DGS), as its chief financial officer.

The Edinburgh-based company, which was bought by US tobacco giant Lorillard in a £60 million deal in October, said Casely would help the firm “integrate smoothly” into an international corporation with complex financial reporting requirements.

Skycig president and co-founder Tom Rolfe said: “Bruce’s international experience will also support potential European expansion.”

Casely, who has held executive and management roles with Bank of Scotland, Ernst & Young, Rothschild and Scottish & Newcastle, oversaw the flotation of DGS on London’s Alternative Investment Market in February.

He stepped down from the Colorado-based company in October and the role has now been filled by Sandra Rodger, the former head of accounting firm Grant Thornton’s Edinburgh office.
