Shopfitter leaps after board buy-up

SHARES in Havelock Europa, the Fife-based shopfitting group, leapt 38 per cent yesterday after several board members increased their holdings.

Chairman Malcolm Gourlay bought 70,000 shares to take his stake up to 570,000, and chief executive Eric Prescott bought 70,000, his first holding. Non-executives David MacLellan and Richard Sweetman bought 100,000 and 125,000 shares respectively. They all paid 8p for each of the shares.
