Shop still in the Pink

AS WE’RE in the middle of the Rugby World Cup some familiar faces were getting particular attention on Tuesday evening at the relaunch of clothes retailer Thomas Pink’s Edinburgh store.

Guy Richardson, director of operations for the British Lions, joined former Scotland players Roger Baird and Kenny Milne, at the party attended by Thomas Pink president and chief executive Jonathan Heilbron.

The luxury shirt maker set up in the capital more than 20 years ago and the Castle Street branch is the first UK outlet to get a full makeover. Heilbron said LVMH-owned Thomas Pink will be growing from 85 to 100 stores globally by the end of the year, with strong demand from Asian buyers and tourists.

Other labels from the LVMH stable were on display during the evening and Barfly thought it would be rude not to take advantage of the Guerlain makeovers and Glenmorangie.
