With a duty to demonstrate return on investment, marketers from all over Scotland, whichever sector they operate in, are being encouraged to submit entries detailing campaigns and initiatives that prove their marketing has delivered positive impact.

Commenting on this year’s awards theme Sally Stanley, chair of the Marketing Society Star Awards said: “While hardly new, demonstrating success through marketing investment continues to be a hot topic in boardrooms across the country and it is fundamentally the marketing industry’s responsibility to deliver the necessary reassurances that marketing delivers.

“This year’s theme of proof prevails shines a light on this topic and we’re looking forward to reviewing work that provides compelling evidence of success. As new techniques of measurement have become available, it will also be interesting to see if these are deployed in the awards submissions.

“This year’s awards theme perfectly complements the vision of the Marketing Society to build a world leading marketing community in Scotland. The awards will reward and showcase the outstanding work being achieved by marketers at every level- from in-house and agencies to veteran marketers and rising stars and will provide an excellent platform for promoting the strength and effectiveness of Scottish marketing.”

Previous winners include Martin Reynolds from Glasgow 2014, Hunter Boots, The Scottish Government and 4cDesign. Entrants to this year’s awards will have the opportunity to learn from these past winners at two Inspiring Minds Star Awards Showcases later this year which will give insights towards preparing a winning paper.

Cello Signal is the 2015 title sponsor with The Scottish Government and VisitScotland on board as strategic sponsors. There will be five categories for companies to select from to prove their star status as well as individual awards to distinguish the best talent in the industry.
