Irn-Bru sales growth has the City fizzing
THE CITY cheered “superb” sales growth at Irn-Bru maker AG Barr today after the Cumbernauld-based firm again out-stripped the rest of the fizzy drinks market. Barr’s revenues for the 18 weeks to 1 December rose by 9 per cent, with volume up 6.6 per cent year-on-year (Scotsman)
Norwegian firm invests £3m in Shetland Catch
Shetland Catch said a Norwegian shareholder had invested £3m in the business five months after the company was hit by a £1.5m confiscation order over a black fish scam. A significant employer on the eponymous islands, Shetland Catch said Norway Pelagic provided the funding to increase its shareholding in the business from 25% to 50% (Herald).

Shift in formation gives Robertson a lift as it targets north of England
ROBERTSON Group, the Elgin-based construction company, yesterday said it was seeing the benefits of a major reshaping of the business as it continues its push further into England. The family-owned building group, one of the North-east’s biggest private companies employing more than 1,000 people, saw turnover increase by 16 per cent to £268.7 million in the year to 30 March (Scotsman).

Pool and spa firm wins £4m Center Parcs bid
Swimming pool and luxury spa firm Barr + Wray has secured a £4 million contract to fit out the new Center Parcs resort in Bedfordshire. The Glasgow firm will provide filtration, water treatment and pumping equipment for seven pools plus pipework and controls for flumes, play structures and water features (Herald)

Outplay to add 120 jobs after £2.5m funding
Video game developer Outplay has unveiled plans to create more than 120 jobs over the next three years after securing £2.5 million in funding from Pentech Ventures and the Scottish Investment Bank (Scotsman).

Airport park ‘to be one of most well connected’
The head of a Highland business park said it would be one of the most well connected commercial sites in Scotland when a railway station opens nearby.
